Medicated

Today, I am medicated. That is because for the past two weeks (roughly) I have been sick. To add to this, I only got four hours of sleep last night. Now, for those of you who don't know me that well, lack of sleep and medication can only mean one thing...Stephanie is going to be fun today! Yes, all day I made pointless remarks and had no idea whatsoever what was going on around me. In conclusion, if you need to take Tylenol Cold and Flu, get some sleep the night before so that you don't experience the same devestating affects.

Light in Your Eyes

I can't remember the last time that we kissed goodbye.
All our "I love you's" were just not enough to survive,
Something your eyes never told me. But it's only now too plain to see,
Brilliant disguise when you hold me And I'm free,

I've been thinking and here's what I've come to conclude,
Sometimes the distance is more than two people can use,
But how could I have known girl. It was time and not space you would need,
Darling tonight I could hold you and you would know. But would you believe.

There's a light in your eyes that I used to see.
There's a place in your heart where I used to be.
Was I wrong to assume that you were waiting for me.
There's a light in your eyes. Did you leave that light burning for me?

Cards and phone calls and photograph pictures of you.
Constant reminder of all the things you get used to.
Is there a chance in hell or heaven. That there's still something here to build on.
Or do you just pick up the pieces after they fall. But after all,

There's a light in your eyes that I used to see.
And a song in the words that you spoke to me.
Was I wrong to believe in your melody?
There's a light in your eyes. Did you leave that light burning for me?

Should I keep on waiting or does love keep on fading away?
Fading away.

It's been a while since I've seen you so how have you been?
Did you get my letter I wrote you, but I did not send.
I tried to call your old number, But the voice that I heard on the phone.
I recognized but she told me the number was wrong.

There's a light in my eyes but it's too bright to see.
And a pain in my heart where you used to be.
Guess I was wrong to assume that you were waiting here for me.
There's a light in your eyes. Did you leave that light burning for me?

SNOW

It finally happened! The first snow of the season! Many were depressed to see this event, I, however, was enthusiastic. I love snow...yes, come January you'll hear me complain about it, but who cares! It's October 15th, and it's snowing!

Band, band, band, band..and..oh yeah...band!

Well, this school year is great so far. The only thing is, I noticed the word "band" is showing up in my vocabulary when it comes to describing the majority of my activities. That's right....band. How do I start off my day? I get up at 6:00 am for jazz band...later in the afternoon, I go to Symphonic band. Most tuesdays, thursdays and fridays I have pep-band. In the summer and for special events in the community I have marching band. For the fall musical, I have pit band. And, oh yeah! I'm an elected member of band council, I'm going on a band trip, and the director wants me to try out for the many state honor bands. Why did I have to be so talented at band? j/k....I love band...and i'm proud to be a band geek.....band!

Slightly Depressed

Right now I am slightly depressed. I went to the football game tonight with the intent of cheering my heart (and lungs) out and seeing my team win. Well, I went, I cheered my heart (and lungs) out, and I saw my team lose....big. (sigh) Final score...LAKERS (my team) 7.....SABERS: 38. I lost my voice for 7 points. I think that the other team was using my pep for their benifit instead of the LAKERS using it. Oh well...there's always next friday's game!

Even thought the game sucked....

Even though the game sucked...there were a lot of good quotes that I just have to share:
1. You, me, and my sexy hat...walk this way.
2. I'm a genius... I knew it!
3. My faith in this team is slowly deminishing.
4. KFC buckets, Burger King crowns....yeah...we're cool.
5. We have to save Crystal from the toilets! Away!
6. If you are a band geek! Hey! That's everyone!
7. We can still win...oh...wait...they got ANOTHER touchdown........ CRAP!
8. What does "lose his nuggets" mean?
9. I want an egg roll! Who's with me?
10. I got spurit! Yeah! Yeah! I got spurit!...what is spurit?...oh...it's ghetto for spirit! Gottcha!

Let's Talk Politics

Alright...as we all know the Presidential elections are coming up soon. But, what do people my age really know about the canidates? I actually know quite a bit, but not everyone does....so here's a summary of the Presidential and Democratic hopeful's platforms:

Bush: against abortion, plans to get Bin Laden, for tax cuts, aproved Rx drug plan, putting an end to terrorism, against gay marriage, supports the troops.

Kerry: against abortion personally (but doesn't want to inflict his beliefs on others), for tax cuts, against tax cuts, has a plan to get Bin Laden (yet we don't know this plan), for Rx drug plan, against Rx drug plan, for gay marriage, against gay marriage, supports Botox.

Nader: I know absolutley nothing about Ralph Nader except that he runs for office every year and never wins.

In conclusion...Go Bush! :)

It Has Happened Again

So...it has happened again. I had my room nice a clean for the longest time...but it happened again. That's right...I lost my floor. I know it's there somewhere...but in order to find it, i'd have to clean. Oh well...I guess I can go w/o it for a few days, or a month or two. :)

Homecoming Week

Once again it's homecoming week at DLHS! We've already survived mis-match monday, dress-up tuesday, red n' white wednesday, and cowboy thursday...(previously toga thursday) and now all we have to look forward to is hat n' jersey day followed by the big football game against Sartell. Of course, I will be there, sportin' my red n' white jersey (my friend's "away" football jersey) and gittin' the crowd goin' as a part of the ultra-peppy pepband. (Go Band!) I personaly plan on losing my voice and freezing to death in the stands...(however that second one will be kinda hard considering we are having an "unseasonable warm" October) I'm already pumped for the game. Go Big Red!

Something To Ponder...

What if the Hokey-pokey really is what it's all about? What kind of world would this be? There's a saying "I'd give a leg for that." But if you put your right leg in, you'd have to take your right leg out. Wouldn't that be considered stealing...if you gave your right leg and then took it back? Crime rates would be higher, all dancers would lose their jobs, and there would be utter chaos for little kids trying to play hop-scotch. I have just given you something completely stupid and pointless to ponder....your welcome.
