.........................

So, in my high school, there are three ways to start a sentence.

1. Clearly...

2. I'm pretty sure...

3. So, it turns out...

I was thinking my senior qoute will begin something like this... "Clearly, it turns out that I'm pretty sure..."

Yeah...

Re-cap

So, I'm getting really busy now with school and work and the musical and pepband, and sporting events and other stuff, so posts may not be as frequent as they have been. But I'd like to share some stuff that happened mostly yesterday. I went to school...a long and boring day in which we had our homecoming parade and I had to march...blah, went to play practice right afterward, then straight to pepband for the football game against Bemijdi...we beat them so bad. Then I came home and my mom was watching Phantom of the Opera, so I joined her for the last 1 1/2 of that. Now this morning I'm drinking my tea, trying to restore me voice because I have play practice again this morning, then I get to do my homework, and possibly sleep.

Yeah, pretty sure....

Yeah, pretty sure my feet hurt like nothing you could imagine right now. Why? Because, in this day and age, women sometimes care about fashion more than comfort. Now, normally, I'm not one of those women...I like my awesome white NIKE's more than anything. However, this week is Homecoming week at school, and today was red and white day. My outfit for this was pretty sweet, but it didn't really have much red (thus why I opted for the red shoes instead of the comfy white ones) Anywho, the shoes I chose to wear are sooo cute (red vinyl high heels...vintage...heck yes) but they aren't very sensible. So right now, pretty sure my feet have a ton of blisters and bruises and stuff of the like on them...ouch. The greatest part of all this is that I have dance practice for the play tonight...dancing...my poor feet!

~Steph...who knows it was stupid to wear those shoes, but they are soo very cute.

Not even kidding...

So, I walk into choir today, and right away, my friends Annie and Marly are like, "Steph! Steph! It's National "talk-like-a-pirate" day"....seriously, it is! So, humor me and the nation, and talk like a pirate today.

Gipped!

Well, I don't know if I have ever felt so gipped in my life!

We all love Phantom of the Opera, (if you don't...get off my blog...j/k) and we love the music and the characters and everything about it!

My wonderful choir director, Mrs. Larson, informed me of sothing that just made me say, "But, but...not cool!"

I don't know if any of you knew this, but it was news to me...
in the song "Phantom of the Opera" when the character, Christine, is singing higher and higher and higher and then finally hits the uber high E at the very end of the song, she's not really singing it! Nope! When she gets up to hit the high E, the technical crew pushes a button, playing a recording of the note...that's what you hear, a recording of a note, not the real deal! I do realize that note is super hard to hit...I can do it, but you wouldn't want to hear it. Still, I just feel gipped.

7.5 hours

I went to the middle school for my audition for the fall musical this morning at 9:30...my audition was at 10, but they like you to be there in case they get ahead of schedule...Well, nothing ever goes according to schedule. I had my audition at 10, and they told me I'd be on the call back list (sweet, sweet) So I had to hang around, plus my dance audition started at 12:30, with dance practice beforehand, so it wasn't like I was there doing nothing. Well, about 11:30, we were allowed to go for a lunch break, but only had 20 minutes! Argh! I got back, and then it started...the waiting game. They did children's dance auditions first, then maidens, then pirates (I'm with the pirates) By the time I got done with that, it was 3:00! But I still had to do my call back, so I couldn't leave. They had me do my pirate stuff again, read for a couple different parts, dance again, and finally at 5:00 I was allowed to go home. I'm so tired, and I haven't even started my homework!

Doin' the Pirate Dance

So, in order to fully audition for the fall musical, you must read, sing and dance. I know my lines, I know my song, and now, I'm doin' the pirate dance!

Another eventful day in...

Choir.
Today, Mrs. L made each of us sing "My Bonnie lies over the ocean" by ourselves infront of the whole class...no big deal, really...what was a big deal was that I had to go first! (ahhhhhhhhh!) After school I had to go to the choir room cuz one of my pals wants to try out fro the musical and needed stuff, so I went with her, introduced her to Mrs. L, and then Mrs. L asked me how I like choir...
Well, I told her I love being in choir again, but I didn't like being the first person to solo today...to this she replied... "I did that because everyone knows you haven't been in choir for awhile, so I figured that if you didn't sound so great, they might not be as shy about doing it..." At this point I'm thinking, oh great, I suck! But then she went on to say, "my plan backfired tough, cuz you sounded awesome!"

Heck yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

V.I.P.

So, today was my first day back to school, first day of my senior year, and first day in a choir class since 8th grade (I never would've left, but my schedule didn't allow it) Anywho! I walked into choir today and Mrs. Larson (director) gave me a hi-5 and told me how happy she was that I was in choir. (Yay!) After school, I went back down to the choir room to pick up my audition materials for the fall musical (Peter Pan) and signed up for my audition time. Mrs. Larson walked in as I was walking out, ran after and gave me a hug cuz I'm going to audition! I felt so loved.

...into one more taste of freedom, one more longing backward glance...

The title, as some of you my have guessed, is song lyrics. These particular lyrics perfectly fit with the mood today...Labor Day, my last day of summer before my senior year starts. What other way could I possibly enjoy my last day of such freedom, than by working...yes, I have to work on Labor Day. Honestly, I can't wait for tomorrow.

They say there was a secret chord, that David played and it pleased the Lord, but you don't really care for music, do ya?

The title has nothing to do with this post, but that song was stuck in my head today, so I figured...what the heck?

Question for all y'all....

If you could meet one person, living or dead, who would it be?

Just got these back

This is me and one of my best friends, Gwenia, at the fair, chillin' and listenin' to some polka (n/k)

This was taken at the final cast party after Anything Goes! We're all in Dave's basement watching Family Guy. I'm in the chair, Josh is hugging my legs for whatever reason, then we have my pals Holly and Jackie, Scott is on the stairs, below him is Jason and his girlfriend, then we have Chris and his girlfriend, Sara is in the middle (black shirt and glasses) and last, but most certainly not least, we see Jon's head. (and that beautiful knee you see on the right belongs to Paul)

It's here!

I got my schedule for the school year in the mail yesterday, and today I called and got everything fixed that they horked up...which was only one thing this year. Anywho, here is my revised schedule.

2. AP American Government (Ah...government!)

3. Chemistry (They let me play w/ fire)

4. World and British Lit. (I've probably already read most of it)
