Gettin' ready for the 4th

Hey! Hey! Hey! It's that time of year again! The 4th of July! This year is supposed to be better than ever. That's what the city tells us every year, but it's always true. That's because each year more money is put into the 4th fund, so each year the fireworks display gets better and better! (I wonder if we'll make the Letterman List again...) If you're not from around here, we all get together on City Beach on Big Detroit Lake...(yes, Desiree...lakes have beaches too...) and I'm not just talking about the people from DL...nope, we get everyone from the surrounding communities, and even other states! The people of Fargo, Grand Forks, and Crookston always come. This year, aside from the local festivities, my family and I are going over to Fargo for a Baseball game before the fireworks. I hope we get to the beach early enough to get "our spot" in front of the Lakeside...it can get pretty crowded pretty early. Hope your 4th will be as cool as mine!
