Queen of Hearts

In the spirit of St. Valentine's Day, which is coming up shortly, my school invented a little game. Today was round 1, where all the girls in the school were given hearts to wear around their necks, and if they talked to a boy at all during the day (unless it was for a class and talking was necessary) the girl had to give that boy her heart. The goal is to keep your heart all day and then you get a free bag of cookies, or if you're a guy, to get as many hearts as possible! It was probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I have a lot of guy friends who were out to get me today, trying to bribe me with hugs and phone numbers. In the end, I prevailed. Tomorrow is round 2, where the guys aren't allowed to talk to the girls, and the girls have to get as many hearts as they can. I plan on being the queen of hearts...and Tay...I'm warning you now...payback sucks.

It was so much fun today! I got 5 hearts! (it should've been 7, but of the guys refused to accept defeat.)

Hmm........I wonder why our student council at my old school never thought up of a game like that to play on St. Valentine's Day. Maybe it's because we were all still in grade school and never thought a game like that would be cool.

I'll never know, cuz I had to go to the middle school for my 7th hour class...that's when they counted all the hearts.
