The Park
The park was always a happy place,
Children run and play,
But now it seems so cold and cruel,
And has been since that day.
I had been laughing with my friends,
Not knowing of the man,
My day turned dark after that,
And I could barely stand.
I wonder why it ended that why,
His rope neck-tie too tight,
The world must have been cruel to him,
To make him think this right.
The yellow tape was taken down,
But still a memory stays,
The park, which was a friendly place,
Is seen in different ways.
Children run and play,
But now it seems so cold and cruel,
And has been since that day.
I had been laughing with my friends,
Not knowing of the man,
My day turned dark after that,
And I could barely stand.
I wonder why it ended that why,
His rope neck-tie too tight,
The world must have been cruel to him,
To make him think this right.
The yellow tape was taken down,
But still a memory stays,
The park, which was a friendly place,
Is seen in different ways.
