This Mask
This mask that I wear,
So blissful and bright,
Makes everyone happy to see me.
But this mask that I wear,
Doesn’t fit quite right,
It makes me who they want to see.
This mask that I wear,
Is a funny thing,
It brightens everyone’s day.
But this mask that I wear,
Makes my head ring,
I never have any say.
This mask that I wear,
Is it a mask?
Or is it really me?
If I cannot tell,
The differences between,
Will anyone else ever see?
So blissful and bright,
Makes everyone happy to see me.
But this mask that I wear,
Doesn’t fit quite right,
It makes me who they want to see.
This mask that I wear,
Is a funny thing,
It brightens everyone’s day.
But this mask that I wear,
Makes my head ring,
I never have any say.
This mask that I wear,
Is it a mask?
Or is it really me?
If I cannot tell,
The differences between,
Will anyone else ever see?
